Secured Mail has been awarded the highest standard in road safety for their logistics services.
The company has achieved bsi ISO 39001, the highest transport standard in the country and are one of just seven national business to achieve the accolade.
Secured Mail is one of UK’s largest e-commerce, postal and retail logistics businesses, delivering over 600 million items every year.
bsi ISO 39001 sets out a standard to achieve for a Road Traffic Safety Management System.
Secured Mail has worked to achieved the standard as part of its aim to influence the delivery industry in driving down the number of road traffic accidents.
James Wilkins, Operations and IT Director at Secured Mail, who sponsors the standard, explained: “We are delighted to receive the award. Secured Mail has a strong commitment to other road users as well as an obligation to look after those who are most vulnerable on the road. As we are travelling to more metropolitan cities throughout the UK we have heightened our concerns for road safety.”

Secured Mail is also aiming to achieve the FORS Gold award later this year, a Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme encompassing safety, fuel efficiency, vehicle emissions and improved operations.
