After successfully achieving bsi ISO39001, the highest transport standard in the country and one of only seven national businesses to achieve this accolade, Secured Mail, part of The Delivery Group has successfully gained Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) Gold accreditation for its good working practices in the way it operates its fleet of vehicles across its Warrington and Luton super hubs.
The FORS scheme has been set up to raise the level of quality within fleet operations and to demonstrate which operations are accomplishing the highest standards in the UK, encompassing safety, fuel efficiency, vehicle emissions and improved operations.
James Wilkins, Operations and IT Director for Secured Mail said: “This accolade builds on the FORS Silver Accreditation we achieved in the winter of 2015. It provides reassurance to our clients that we take safety and compliance very seriously. We are only one of five logistics and distribution companies with multi-site operation to achieve this standard, a great achievement for the Secured Mail team and one we should all be proud of. The Gold standard has changed numerous times over the last 12 months and the team have reacted to achieve this”.
Mark Bigley, CEO of Secured Mail added: “Achieving FORS Gold demonstrates our commitment to safety and the environment and recognises the high standards we employ as a business. We are constantly looking at ways to improve our fleet and our carbon footprint.”
"We trust Secured Mail to make sure we maintain our market position."
