Secured Mail’s Mark Bigley wins prestigious award

 

Secured Mail managing director Mark Bigley has been named one of the North West’s top directors.

Mark, who founded the fast-growing postal operator in 2006, was named Liverpool Director of the Year at the 2011 Institute of Directors North West Director of the Year awards.

The accolade rounds off a successful 12 months for Mark and Secured Mail, which has included new contract wins and a rise in turnover.

Mark said: “This is my first award since starting Secured Mail. To get the recognition against some talented directors is fantastic, but I could not have developed a successful business without the truly forward-thinking senior management team and efforts from hard-working staff.

“The future is looking promising, with recent client wins and plans for further depots across the UK.

Mark founded the business in Maghull, near Liverpool, but Secured Mail’s head office is now based in Warrington.

Turnover in 2010 was £32.6million. It is expected to be about £48million in 2011.

Secured Mail has contracts with clients including Amazon, Southern Water and Domino’s Pizza.
